2024 Memberships recently launched. Here’s what being a member means; Being a PORCA (Pemberton Off-Road Cycling Association) member opens up a realm of possibilities for you to engage, contribute, and immerse yourself in Pemberton’s thriving mountain biking community.

How Can I Contribute to the Community?

As a PORCA member, one of the most fulfilling ways to get involved is through volunteering. Your efforts play a crucial role in helping to create a connected community through mountain biking. Whether it's trail maintenance, organizing events, or assisting in community initiatives, your time and energy can make a significant impact. What Events Can I Participate In?

Being a PORCA member gives you a pass to some of the best mountain biking events in the Sea to Sky Corridor. From the weekly Toonie Rides to the Enduros, there's always an event to suit your skill level and preferences. We work to provide events suitable for all skill levels and preferences, there's something for everyone. These events not only provide a thrilling experience for novice bikers to the most advanced but also serve as fantastic opportunities to connect with fellow mountain biking enthusiasts.

How Does PORCA support the trails?

At the heart of mountain bike culture is taking care of the trails we ride. The PVTA (Pemberton Valley Trails Association) is the primary maintenance and coordination organization in our region. When you support PORCA, you are supporting the trails as $20 of your fee instantly makes you a PVTA member as well! This is free for youth under. The PVTA encompasses many different user groups with a mandate to maintain, develop and advocate for trails. PORCA is the voice for mountain biking and we work collaboratively with the PVTA on all things bike related.

Where Do My Membership Dues Go?

When you become a PORCA member, your dues become a driving force behind our association's mission to serve Pemberton's mountain bike community through advocacy, trails stewardship, partnerships, programs and events."funds go towards supporting our volunteer team with dedicated staff to carry our mission plus expenses related to risk management, permits, equipment and program related expenses that focus on creating an equitable, diverse and inclusive mountain bike community. Our annual financial statement is presented at the Annual General Meeting that all members are invited to participate in.

What Do I Gain from Being a Member?

Aside from the satisfaction of supporting the mountain biking community, being a PORCA member comes with tangible benefits. You gain voting rights for the Board of Directors elections during the Annual General Meeting in late October. Furthermore, you receive insurance coverage, ensuring your safety during participation in events like Toonies and Enduros.

How Can I Become a PORCA Member?

Becoming a PORCA member is easy peasy. Simply visit our website, navigate to the membership section, and follow the registration process. Takes less than 5 minutes! 

Can I Volunteer Even if I'm a Beginner Rider?

Absolutely! Volunteer opportunities cater to individuals of all skill levels and backgrounds. Whether you're a seasoned rider or just starting, there are diverse roles that match your abilities. Volunteering is a fantastic way to learn, connect, and make a meaningful impact on the trails you love to ride.
