Join The PORCA Board Of Directors

What a season it’s been.

Change is in the air, literally as the Pemby dust gets coated in some much-needed rain that will soon turn to snow as the 2023 bike season wraps up. But also here at PORCA as several key members of the Board of Directors are passing the torch. Their contributions have been invaluable and we couldn’t do it without them.

Keep reading to learn more about what our team is currently involved in, and discover how we're seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to take on these vital roles. Whether you're a seasoned mountain biking enthusiast or someone eager to make a positive impact in the Pemberton biking community, PORCA welcomes you to join us.

President

After 7 years of serving, President Ian Kruger is looking to pass the torch. Not only is Ian the vision behind PORCA, but he also has been instrumental in creating events such as the Pemberton Enduro and the Pemberton Numerical Assessment of Radness (PNAR). His trail advocacy and maintenance work extends beyond PORCA’s existence as he had previously been a Director for the PVTA. Ian will continue as Director at Large in 2024 mentoring the new President – don’t worry, you won’t be left to fend for yourself just yet! Thank you, Ian!

You will work alongside the Executive Director and Human Resources, Governance, and Finance Committee to ensure PORCA continues to thrive and execute our strategic plan.

Vice President

Emma Mostrom-Mombelli has served as Vice President for the past 3 years. She has been the driving force behind our Covid-inspired 30x30 Day Mountain Bike Challenge. She has led our Youth Program, become a mountain bike coach, and champions PORCA’s guiding principles. Emma will continue as Director at Large for 2024 as she takes a well-earned break to travel. Thank you, Emma!
