Strengthening PORCA’s Future

This spring, PORCA had the opportunity to invest in its future thanks to the Whistler Community Foundation’s Kathy Barnett Leadership Fund. As our new Executive Director, Elodie Martin took part in a strategy workshop designed to set her up for success in this role as she takes over from Bree Thorlakson. This training provided the space and resources for reflection, planning, and growth as PORCA continues to evolve within the community.

We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Bree for her incredible support during this transition and for the amazing work she has done leading PORCA to where it is today.

PORCA’s mission is rooted in creating inclusive, accessible, and inspiring opportunities for people to connect through mountain biking. From social bike clubs and enduro events to trail advocacy, everything we do is about building a thriving riding culture that reflects the values of our community. Developing the skills and vision to guide this work is one important piece of the puzzle.

We’re deeply grateful to the Whistler Community Foundation and the Kathy Barnett Leadership Fund for their generous support. Their investment is already making a difference at PORCA and will continue to guide our growth in the years ahead, helping us offer meaningful, affordable programming while caring for the trails and shared spaces that bring our community together.

Thank you for believing in the power of community and collaboration!
