PORCA presents the 2017 Trails Workshop facilitated by Mark Wood of Holistic Trails. Participants will learn about sustainable trail maintenance and design techniques.
Course content includes education on the Pemberton valley's cultural history and environment. Upon completion students will have an improved understanding of sustainable practices and how to apply them to Pemberton's trail network.
The workshop consists of a morning theory session on Saturday followed by practical field sessions on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. Although the course is targeted to mountain bike enthusiasts, all user groups are welcome to attend.
Place: Day 1 @ Pemberton Community Center. Day 2, Location TBA.
Time: 9am Saturday. Sunday meeting location TBD
Cost: $20 (must have a current PORCA membership)
PORCA is pleased to announce we have received a Pemberton & District Community Fund grant from Squamish-Lillooet Regional District (SLRD) and Village of Pemberton towards the upcoming Trails Workshop in May. This funding ensures the workshop is accessible to local community members and builds an educated volunteer force to work on the local trail system to benefit all trail users.
There is still one spot available. Contact Ian via firstname.lastname@example.org or use the form below.
